Friday, March 30, 2007 : Former national team coach has heart attack
Ilias Kelesidis, who represented Greece at cycling for 10 years died on Friday at the age of 54 after suffering a heart attack, his family said.

Kelesidis was part of the Greek team that competed at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. During his international cycling career, which spanned from 1978 to 1988, Kelesidis also won a gold medal at the Balkan Games.

After retiring, Kelesidis became Greece's national cycling coach for several years. He also acted as an advisor to the Greek Cycling Federation from 2004 to 2006.
