Current champions Athens take on city rivals Attica Springboks in the opening round of this year's championship.
Athens go into the season missing two key members of the side that secured the first two Greek championship pennants.
International centre Chris Fiotakis, the quickest man in Greek rugby, has decided to further his rugby experience by moving to England while Michalis Pelekanos, who captained Greece in their first international matches, has decided to hang up his boots.
Athens have strengthened their coaching team though with former national coach Matt Bridge back in Greece to work alongside Nick Petropoulos.
Losing finalists for the last two years Rhodes also begin their trek for a third-time lucky bid for the title with a trip to Athens to take on Spartans.
Mekedonos Evosmos host Trikala while Thessaloniki also stages a city derby with Spartakos at home to Iraklis.
This year's championship sees all eight teams playing each other in a round-robin format rather than the north and south divisions of the first two years.
