The surprise win of Anagennisi Karditsas at neighbouring Olympiakos Volou allowed Kerkyra and Ethnikos Asteras to move up one spot at the top of the B' Ethniki table over the weekend.
In a memorable finish to the Thessaly derby at Voios, local Olympiakos earned themselves a penalty but missed it, with Anagennisi breaking into a counter attack that produced the games only goal in injury time.
Olympiakos have now dropped to third, with Kerkyra going top after their 2-1 triumph at Rhodes over Diagoras on Sunday, and with Ethnikos Asteras climbing to second courtesy of a solid display on Friday that saw them defeat Ilioupoli 2-0 away.
The most remarkable of the other results was the 4-1 home victory of Pierikos over Egaleo on Saturday, with manager Soulis Papadopoulos defeating the side he had left from 12 days earlier.
Finally on Monday Ionikos overturned a 1-0 deficit at home to Thrasyvoulos to win 2-1 with two goals in the last 10 minutes. Thrasyvoulos then sacked their manager Nikos Kehagias.

The Volos side defeated Thrasyvoulos 1-0 in Athens amid huge protests by the home side about the referee decisions.
Kerkyra thrashed visiting OFI Crete 3-0 at home through a Thanassis Tsingas brace, forcing the sacking of OFI coach Niki Papavassiliou. Nikos Goulis is his likely successor at the historic Iraklio club's bench.
Ethnikos Asteras rank third after their tight 3-2 victory over Panetolikos at home, having led 3-0 at the 18th minute.
Ethnikos lost some ground drawing 1-1 at home with Diagoras, with Panserraikos catching up with them at the fourth spot by downing Kalamata 1-0 thanks to an 88th-minute penalty by Leozinho.
